run into で「～に衝突する」、「偶然出会う」。
偶然出会う、の方の類義語にはencounterがあるようです。エンカウント！

ここでのhomeは副詞なので、toはつかずに「家までの道」＝「帰路」。
tokenは形見の他にも、もともとは「しるし」という意味があって、
セキュリティトークンのトークンですね！
